ACCELERATION PROGRAM

The first module of the acceleration program will take place in Ciudad de Panamá and consist of a a selection process were all participants will be evaluated based on their products, company-stage and team. The jury consisting of representatives from IE Business School & Ciudad del Saber will select the 10 best ideas and together with mentors and coaches seek to validate their business model, go-to-market strategy and product-market fit. The objective of this validation is to create awareness of the current situation of each entrepreneur and create a roadmap to advance the entrepreneur to the next stage. The programs offers a comprehensive curriculum covering the fundamental know-how any entrepreneur should have attained before validating their model in competitive markets as well as more advanced modules that will be critical for entrepreneurs that have already achieved product market fit to move forward as a company.

The second part of the program in Panamá takes the form of a Demo Day, and the program will consist of keynotes and panels providing hands on experience from seasoned investors, corporates and entrepreneurs. The demo day will culminate with a Startup competition where all accelerator participant will be able to pitch in front of an international jury. The jury will select of the projects that will be crowned winners at the end of the day.

WHO SHOULD APPLY FOR?

We are conscious about the great challenge that we face. The Fundación del Saber (CDS) works in alliances with SENACYT & IE Business School in Spain in order to identify the top startups worldwide that offer tangible solutions to improve financial inclusion in the bottom of the social pyramid.

Potential Beneficiaries:

People or businesses excluded from society, particularly related to financial exclusion.

Entrepreneurs, startups and innovative projects within the scope of Fintech

Public Institutions both in Panamá or abroad.

Public and Private entities which see these Startups as a main source of innovation and value.

SELECTION CRITERIA

The competition is open to Startups from all over the world.

Startups developing Technology applied to Fintech Sector.

The Startup proposed solution must be applicable to Panamanian market.

Committed team ( at least 1 person on a full-time basis )

Either an established Startup or in the process to be formed.

Seeking funds and investment (Seed or Serie A) as well as being relevant to Latam Market.

AWARDS

  • A Residence Acceleration Program for the 3 winners of the competition supported by SENACYT with a maximum of 6 months.
  • $15,000.00 in cash to invest in the launch and the implementation of the project.
